Mapnix Privacy Policy
Mapnix is a daily photo-guessing game. This policy explains what the app does with data, which is very little.
What we collect
Nothing. Mapnix has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. We do not collect, store or share personal information of any kind.
What stays on your device
Your scores, streaks and settings are saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. They are never sent anywhere. Uninstalling the app deletes them. You can also erase them at any time from the app's Settings screen.
Network use
The app downloads the day's photographs and their answers from our server (api.storivaapp.com) so that content can be updated without an app update. These requests carry no identifier and no player data. Like any web server, ours keeps short-lived standard connection logs (IP address, time, requested file) for operational purposes only; they are not used to identify or track anyone and are not shared.
Permissions
- Internet and network state: to download content.
- Vibrate: for optional haptic feedback, which you can turn off in Settings.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Third parties
Photographs are historical images in the public domain, sourced from Wikimedia Commons and credited in the app. No third-party SDKs are included.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
